Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Deborah Zimmerman was appointed chief medical officer of Mercy Health Plans (MHP) in January 2004. Prior to joining MHP, she was associate medical director/acting senior medical director at CIGNA Healthcare. Dr. Zimmerman has held healthcare management positions with Health Partners of the Midwest, Barnes Jewish Clinic, and Group Health Plans.

Dr. Zimmerman received her medical degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
